A basic tenet of MAGA is we want our country back … meaning from blacks, browns, gays & Asians. So yes project 2025 includes racism, bigotry, xenophobia & homophobia because it’s against all those groups. For blacks their against affirmative action, CRT, DEI, BLM, black history, black studies curriculum, etc. MAGA believes blacks are responsible for most of the violence in America. Trump has voiced black jobs are bottom level labor jobs. if you’re black and you vote republican … your rich, an opportunist, an OREO, or your just a fool
I saw trump speaking on tv and he said that he’s pushing immigrants out because their taking black jobs. First thing trump did was remove/fire all blacks in leadership positions… called them DEI hires. Sorry but I disagree. MAGAs hate blacks, browns, gays, feminists … etc. 40% of CA & TX are Hispanic. We are a full employment economy including the 12M immigrants… if they’re gone they’ll be a 12M person shortage of labor. MAGAs want a white Christian straight America with compliant subservient women.
Here is the thing. I have come to recognize that they really don't believe it. They just hide behind that so they have an excuse to be racist. I really think they believe just like many of the people who voted for him this time believe he's gonna hurt other people he's gonna take from other people and give to them and so they're OK with that. They just don't want anyone to call their morals into question so they make up all this bullshit. The reason they destroyed unions was because it brought people collectively together to help them defend themselves against the degree of the wealthy. The reason that they have continued to make Black people and black women their enemies because Black people have always been fighting for the countries, moral compass. That's another reason that you see them trying with all their Mike to come up with videos and articles and everything else to try to demonize Black people and make them look immoral. That's another reason that they suppress criminal act and things like that of white people. Denial Plausibility is what this is all about. We have to recognize it and we have to make sure we're not tool that help it along.
“However, a lesser known version was written by Abolitionist A. G. Duncan in 1843. Interesting lyrics and not very well known. My country, 'tis of thee,Stronghold of slavery, of thee I sing;Land where my fathers died,Where men man's rights deride,From every mountainside, thy deeds shall ring!My native country, thee,Where all men are born free, if white's their skin;I love thy hills and dales,Thy mounts and pleasant vales; But hate thy negro sales, as foulest sin.Let wailing swell the breeze,And ring from all the trees, the black man's wrong;Let every tongue awake;Let bond and free partake;Let rocks their silence break, the sound prolong. Our father's God! to thee,Author of Liberty, to thee we sing;Soon may our land be bright,With holy freedom's right,Protect us by thy might, Great God, our King.It comes, the joyful day,When tyranny's proud sway, stern as the grave,Shall to the ground be hurl'd,And freedom's flag, unfurl'd,Shall wave throughout the world, O'er every slave.Trump of glad jubilee!Echo o'er land and sea freedom for all, Let the glad tidings fly,And every tribe reply,“Glory to God on high," at Slavery's fall.”
First of all, yes, we want our country back. But not from any race, from the people who have been in power for 20 years and ran it into the ground. Nobody cares what color their skin is, we care what they're doing. The problem with crying “racism!” is that it allows you avoid an actual argument about policy. So go ahead and do some research so you can present an argument, because the world is tired of the lazy catch-all pejorative-based “arguments.” They're so over played.
Second, yes, forcing racial education is, by definition, racist. And therefore, in my opinion, wrong. An opinion MAGA shares.
Third, show me when Trump voiced that black jobs are bottom level jobs.
Last, your claim about people of color who support Trump is definitionally racist. Like, incredibly racist. Make an argument to me that it's not.
Ah yes, I’ve come across more than a few of those privileged lefty types who are happy to volunteer other people to suffer because they hope it will bring some kind of “reset” sooner than later.
What I’ve never been able to understand is, if they’re willing to say out loud that they want vulnerable people to suffer to bring about their political aims, how exactly are they better than the exploiters they rail against?
I thought that the Supreme Court was independent, made up of respectable people who made decisions based on the constitution. I did not think it mattered what president appointed you. I was wrong about that.
This is the most reasoned response I've heard/read. One other on NPR (can't remember which broadcast, maybe Nina Totenburg?) who summarized also. IT's all more than unfair, it's dangerous. Each of these steps enter us deeper into a space of no due process, no checks and balances, no balance of the different departments of government. Another layer of erasure. The daily WTF moments are captured and summarized so well by you, thank you.
Agreed. It is always those who are not going to suffer saying that a little suffering is needed. The decents are brutal. Eveey one of them. We need everyone to realize this political system has been highjacked. It’s not just a normal party swing. It has major unprecedented consequences for generations.
And expand Education... People really need to learn the "history of this country". You learn real history (not history that makes you feel good) to apply better judgment in your decision making.
Germany, beginning in elementary grades, teach what happened under the Nazi regime so that they recognize pitfalls that lead to fascism.
Most Americans refused to believe Project 2025 could come to pass because they do not Read or Study Real American history.
Yes. This country is racist to the core. Founded on colonization and murder, justifying slavery and violence with Bible verses, demonizing groups through propaganda and incarcerating people black people when the government wouldn’t let them traffick black people. Through slavery
So much so that we fought a Civil War to free slaves and declare all people equal...
Name a country not founded on murder and colonization... All of Europe, all of Africa, all of Asia, all of the Americas, they were all founded by "colonizers" at some point. That's the dumbest argument you can make.
When the US fought the civil war, there were more white people in global slavery than black slaves in the US. That is a fact.
Stating that the US is racist to the core is literally false.
It's sad that you choose to believe that.
You could instead take pride in the real foundation of the US - that marginalized people bravely crossed an ocean for a chance at freedom from tyranny.
The only thing you can do right now is work on yourself and the people in your spaces to get them to understand what is really at stake is not about harming other people but it will ultimately hurt them. And how can they then spread that message toward the midterms and voting.

Then you won’t have anyone doing the work. That should be obvious.

And anyone who doesn’t ’believe’ like them…
Note: it was never their country to begin with…

Stupid and deceptive bs description of maga.
Hurts to hear the truth huh ….
Yeah, song was written in 1843.
There are a lot of people who are not as smart as they would like to be, and therefore follow a cult and that is this cult.
And yet the “we” are often immigrants or children of immigrants or recipients of social safety net programs
13% commits 60% of all crime….
Just sayin.
Please prepare to pass its rightful owners, the native indigenous people.

The Supreme Court was one of my main arguments against trump as well. It sux being right when weren't heard.

I was guilty of saying the Supreme Court doesn’t matter. I was wrong. But I was smart enough to always be a NEVER TRUMPER.
Yeah we're headed into some difficult times.
I’m just interested to understand why you thought that.
I thought that the Supreme Court was independent, made up of respectable people who made decisions based on the constitution. I did not think it mattered what president appointed you. I was wrong about that.
Unfortunately there is no comfort in being right.
No only suffering like Cassandra
Oh my, do I understand *that* statement!
I saw this coming in 2009, when I worked at a blood bank that helped develop Palantir software.
They have 2 internets now, basically; one for Trumper types and the other for 'low value people'

Same! I’m so tired of being called an alarmist because “that can’t happen, checks and balances.” Uh-huh.
you were 100% correct
Thanks for sharing this we must all be vigilant

When Democrats get back into the House & Senate they need to put a limit on the term for Supreme Court.
They also need to expand the court and give themselves some picks. Barack Obama was illegally denied a pick and he should have fought for it
And expand Education... People really need to learn the "history of this country". You learn real history (not history that makes you feel good) to apply better judgment in your decision making.

I got the same responses from Democrats, even in my own family I’m a little too intense. Well what about now?
Brilliant. Will follow you. More clear thinkers like this! Ignore the retrograde knuckle draggers on this chat.
WHAT can I do, definitively?
The only thing you can do right now is work on yourself and the people in your spaces to get them to understand what is really at stake is not about harming other people but it will ultimately hurt them. And how can they then spread that message toward the midterms and voting.
Fight or flight
