I live in a a city that has been labeled “a melting pot” but it’s not a melting pot. Everyone crosses each other’s paths during day but we go back to our respective “communities.”

I experience a lot of discrimination from the Hispanic people in this city, even if they can’t speak English. It’s very frustrating. They know what they want to know. I don’t believe they see a correlation between their experience and ours. I’m appalled at what’s happening to immigrants. I speak out against this but that’s as far as I’m going.
